Beef and Broccoli Stirfry
◦1 tablespoon nsa beef stock or broth
◦6 ounces sirloin, trimmed of fat and cut into strips
◦1 teaspoon minced garlic
◦1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
◦2 cups chopped broccoli
◦1 teaspoon on plan soy sauce (see Condiments Section, this forum)
◦3 drops on-plan hot pepper sauce (See Condiments Section, this forum)
◦2 scallions (green onions), chopped
◦2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
In a large nonstick skillet, warm ½ tablespoon of the beef stock over medium-high heat. Add the sirloin, garlic, and ginger. Cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes, or until the meat is cooked through and no longer pink. Transfer to a plate.
Add the remaining ½ tablespoon beef stock and the broccoli to the skillet. Cook, stirring, for 3 minutes. Add the on-plan soy sauce, on-plan hot pepper sauce, and meat mixture. Serve sprinkled with the scallions and cilantro (if using).
